Our repertoire

The repertoire of Dúo Qitayes consists of pieces from different styles and periods, ranging from 19th-century Romanticism to the most contemporary avant-garde, including music from popular genres.
This allows Dúo Qitayes to offer concerts in various formats and themes, adapted to different audiences and occasions and also combining duo and solo works. Among them, several unifying concepts are given such as:

Discography

“Première” is the debut commercial recording from Dúo Qitayes, presenting the first studio recordings of works by Leo Brouwer, Joaquim Homs, Juan José Olives, Laura Vega, Mateo Soto, Daniel Roca, Antonio Rodríguez López, Jonás García, Leandro Ramos and Víctor Landeira. The selected pieces are notable additions to the clarinet and guitar chamber music repertoire by renowned composers, which reflects the duo’s priority of contributing to the corpus of works for clarinet and guitar, with special attention given to Spanish and Ibero-American figures. The program shows a wide stylistic spectrum, ranging from the avant-garde of the first half of the 20th century to a more friendly style that sees a return to tonality.
